![Thank you, Sunny Hostin, for the kind words! “I read the book. I thought it was great! And it gave a lot of insight into Clarence Thomas. What a lot of people don’t know about you is that you argued nine cases in front of the Supreme Court, and you clerked for [Chief] Justice Rehnquist, so this is your space.” Order now at](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2097715163688239341/amplify_video_thumb/2097715044934901760/img/DVKzeVgqpBpK3g9T.jpg)

WATCH: Ted Cruz and Kaitlan Collins get into a heated exchange over James Talarico - with Cruz calling him a “fellow traveler" with the DSA radicals Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed. COLLINS: “Who will Republicans have to blame if Republicans lose Texas?” CRUZ: “Oh, listen, we have a real race in Texas, but we have a real race in most states across the country. It’s a midterm.” COLLINS: “But Texas is Texas.” CRUZ: “I am fully aware of this. But you know what? Texas, like other states, we’ve got a bunch of liberals in Texas. Now, we have more conservatives and more common-sense Texans than we have liberals, but the liberals are really ticked off and they’re energized. “And I’ll tell you, if you look at this race, James Talarico, I think, is a dangerous candidate. I think substantively he is radical and extreme, but he’s very good at seeming charming. He’s very good at seeming innocuous. Personally, I prefer my wolves in wolves’ clothing, not in sheep’s clothing. “Talarico’s record is fundamentally out of step with where the people of Texas are. When James Talarico says God is non-binary, when he says there are six different genders, when he says we should have a welcome mat on our southern border, those are not the values of Texans. “At the end of the day, this race is not about whether you personally like one candidate or the other. This race is about what policies are good for 32 million Texans. “Comrade Mamdani knows exactly who Talarico is when he says he wants to dismantle capitalism. So does Abdul El-Sayed. He is a fellow traveler with the DSA radicals in the Democrat Party. “James Talarico is someone who ran a vegan campaign because he believes meat is destroying the world. Now, that would be a great campaign in Berkeley, California. But it’s not Texas.” COLLINS: “He’s not a democratic socialist.” CRUZ: “Okay, you say that. Tell me then: what does dismantling capitalism mean? That’s his own words.” COLLINS: “Yeah, I know. CNN uncovered those words, actually. We’ve also cited what his campaign has said about it.” CRUZ: “Of course he’s running away from his record. That doesn’t mean that’s not what he believes.”

In one four-minute, off-the-cuff answer, Talarico managed to advocate for or say all of the following: - Reparations are part of his faith tradition. - Race-based tuition relief. - Race-based homeownership grants. - Race-based baby bonds. - Slavery still defines modern Texas. - Government must “repair” the past. - When Democrats win the Senate they will enact reparations - The George Floyd Act was “transformational.” - Washington must protect Americans “from police violence.” - Shows like 'Cops' promote violence

Brad Gerstner on how Ted Cruz got Trump Accounts done: “I stomped around Capitol Hill for years. Everybody loved the idea. But it’s amazing in Washington: everybody loves the idea, but nobody can find their pen to actually begin drafting a piece of legislation. “It takes an entrepreneurial warrior like this Senator who says, ‘I’m going to make this happen.’ It doesn’t happen without that. “When we saw President Trump, it would have been very easy for him to say, ‘Great idea, talk to my people,’ and this would have gone to die like every other idea. Instead, he said, ‘I’m calling the Speaker and telling him to put it in the bill.’ “And the only way we could put it in the bill is if we had drafted the legislation, scored it, and had it ready to go. That’s why this became the law of the land.”
