2 kg gold, 6.5 kg silver, ₹12.5 lakh cash: ACB raids TTD Deputy EO The Andhra Pradesh ACB has registered a Disproportionate Assets case against Mendu Lokanatham, Deputy Executive Officer of TTD’s Srivari Temple, Tirumala, and conducted simultaneous searches at four locations in Tirupati. The searches have so far revealed 2 buildings, 4 house plots, 4 fixed deposits, 2 kg gold, 6.5 kg silver, ₹12.5 lakh cash and another property document worth ₹31.98 lakh. ACB has provisionally estimated the assets at around ₹5 crore. The case has a link to the CBI investigation into the Tirupati Laddu adulteration case. After completing its investigation and filing a chargesheet, the CBI shared information regarding suspected disproportionate assets of certain TTD employees with the AP ACB. Acting on those inputs and subsequent evidence collected, the ACB registered the case against Lokanatham. Searches are still in progress.
