Giannis was asked if he will sign an extension with the Miami Heat after the iguana showed up at his house: “I won’t take no extension questions. I want to focus on this season. I don’t even want to go there, it’s too early. But if the iguanas keep on coming I’ll probably move. Maybe get a apartment across the street”

Klay Thompson wants to prove he’s still a good defender this season: “I wanna be a high volume, efficient 3PT shooter. — I want to be a plus defender. I want to guard 2-5 effectively. Obviously marking the best player all night isn’t my forte anymore but I can do it in spurts. — I’m just so happy to be here and I can’t wait to put my footprint on Miami culture” Klay is the perfect vet for this team. Bill Simmons just had the most EMBARRASSING Miami Heat segments of all time with Zach Lowe: “Who’s playing defense on this team? Who’s guarding Jayson Tatum? Andrew Wiggins? Ok. Wiggins did guard Tatum well 4 years ago. Giannis, Bam, Wiggins, Mitchell, Larsson, that’s my crunch time 5. Welcome to the play in.” Bill also doesn’t think the Pelle Larsson contract was good as he thought it should’ve been 3 years $25M instead.

Rich Paul on LeBron James to the Knicks 😳 “If the Knicks hadn’t won, there would be no board. He’d be going to the Knicks…. Jalen Brunson would literally have to pick up the phone and say ‘hey man, there’s no issue with me.’ They (Knicks) have checked in.” (Via Game Over)

Draymond Green wants to know if Udonis Haslem will keep the same energy for Bam punching Tyler Herro, that he did when Draymond punched Jordan Poole 👀 “I remember when I got into it with Poole… I remember one person when the Jordan Poole incident happened with me who was really, really outspoken about it and it really Bothered me, was Udonis Haslem… I saw UD get into it with guys on teams that was younger than him before. Ala Jimmy Butler. Then he came out like ‘that’s ridiculous! You get into it with your young guy I would never. I can’t believe you did that.’ What is it ‘Heat Culture or Heat way?’ Maybe they don’t have fights. So when I first saw this, I was like damn. This is two guys Udonis Haslem raised. If you raised this young guy in the light of what you was saying about me, and now he punches this other young guy, that y’all kind of co raised, are you going to have that same energy? Reality is I don’t want him to have that same energy because I love Bam. That’s my brother, my dog… Tyler Herro, who’s from MIL, like Jordan Poole, has a lot of bravado as a young guy probably said some very disrespectful things like Jordan Poole.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

The Bucks played “Devin Booker” The Celtics played “Fat Luka” The Knicks played the dumbest NBA finals team ever Jimmy and Bam had to play the two most dominant players of this era in LeBron and Jokic in their finals appearance I really am speechless right now.

Draymond Green speaks on his recruiting pitch to LeBron James on their trip together: “You know, I’d be crazy if for X amount of days, and at no point if I’m like ‘yo, we need to chop it up. Like what the hell is going on.’ Of course I did that. Of course the pitch was crazy. Since I think I’m pretty decent at it, doesn’t change anything. Doesn’t make anything happen. With the things I shared in it, I believe it’s definitely going to make the brain work a little bit. I don’t think there’s a decision that’s been made but say if there was, it’ll make you think twice about it. So there’s that.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

The Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and 76ers appear to be the top 3 teams in the LeBron sweepstakes, per Shams Charania “When the Sixers got Jaylen Brown I did some research and he (LeBron) is taking their pitch very seriously. When I talk to teams now I have a hierarchy of Cleveland, Miami, Philadelphia, and then some teams on the peripheral”

Erik Spoelstra says players want to play with Bam Adebayo just like they wanted to play with Dwyane Wade: “Bam was a huge selling point. (For Giannis) — He has so much respect in the league similarly to when Dwyane was here, guys want to play with him because they think it leads to winning. They think he’s the right teammate and about the right things” (Via Jonathan Zaslow) 🔥

Shaq says he had to get Pat Riley to move their practice back from 9:30 am to 12:00 because the ‘06 team partied so much 💀 Shaq: I had to convince him like ‘bro, we coming in at 3, going to Waffle House, we get done eating waffles at 5, yo just move it back.’ He (pushed back) then we went on 12 game winning streak Wade: the most unserious championship team in the history of the league Walker: I never partied and played basketball like that in my life UD: We was making phone calls before we landed like they had the spots set up (Via Wy Network by Dwyane Wade)
