Exploring Broad Peak: The Mighty Breithorn of Baltistan! 🏔️ Rising deep within the Karakoram range, Broad Peak stands at 8,051 metres (26,414 feet). It is the world’s 12th-highest mountain, famous for its massive summit ridge that stretches over 1.5 kilometers wide. The journey to its summit is a legendary test. Climbers must navigate steep snow slopes, unstable ice falls, and a highly exposed rocky crest leading to the true apex. The prize is reaching the peak’s highest point, offering sweeping views of the entire Godwin-Austen Glacier and K2 right opposite. How to Reach: Drive from Islamabad to Skardu, then take a 4x4 jeep to Askole. From there, embark on a multi-day alpine trek along the Baltoro Glacier via Concordia to reach Broad Peak Base Camp.
