Most people don’t realize how personal this fight is for me. My son DJ is battling cancer because of the environment and the failures of leadership right here in our own community. That kind of pain changes a man. It makes every promise I make to fix these problems more than politics it makes it personal. When I talk about holding people accountable and making sure no child ever suffers like mine did, it’s because I’ve lived it. I’ve seen what happens when those in charge neglect their duty. And I will never stop fighting to make sure it never happens again.
