So this is what really got him into trouble, the same thing that led to that sequence vs Dricus, and that you can see is a problem with fighters like KKF. This slipshod linear retreating footwork. Gone from the centre all the way to the cage in a second or two.

Something I want to highlight - this clip that's gone around some time ago about Cub talking about a certain S&C camp - I cut parts out to make the 2m mark. Find the ep - around 25mins in for full context. This is same coach for Chimaev's - SnC AnikiMMA - this is the clip

As much as I like Amasov - do think his striking will limit him. His loss to Jason Jackson - stuffed his shots and then he was lost on the feet. Someone has taught him a lot of the right ideas imo, but he doesn't have good defence (no head movement) or really a good feel for it

On Pantoja-KKF - I mentioned in several comments - Kai's terrible footwork. This is the most straight line retreat in a top level fight I have seen in a while. Basically had the Dricus-Izzy scenario playing out except Pantoja is better than DDP in several areas.
