We’ve got to get back to shopping local. We need to support the independents businesses in our city. The money spent in these big supermarkets ain’t staying local. Buy it from me, the Butcher, the Fish Monger it’s cheaper and it’s fresher. I remember going “down road” with me Mam she’d go the Coin Op drop the laundry of then she would go the Butchers, Fish Man, Herons and Cooplands for a few sausage rolls or cheesy straws then she’d go back Coin Op to pick the laundry up. The road was buzzing you’d see everyone. The old heads would walk out the bookies treat you to a few quid if they’d had a win. Please can we go back….. please.
