As many of you know, the Maine Democratic Party will hold a special convention on Saturday, July 25, where delegates will select the next Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate. We're in a strong position to win. But it will take all of us working together – and quickly. First order of business: become a delegate. Time is short. The deadline is Wednesday, July 15, at 5 PM. Today, ICE fatally shot a husband, father, and member of Maine’s immigrant community. ICE’s rogue actions have now come to our state in the worst way imaginable — with the death of a fellow Mainer. This isn’t the America I want to live in. Enough is enough. Susan Collins voted to send $70 billion dollars to ICE with no reforms. I’d abolish it altogether. We need to come together as a community and demand a better future.
