Around 10,000 Nebraska fans showed up in OKC to see the Huskers win its first-ever NCAA Tournament game. Honestly, one of the cooler college basketball environments I’ve ever seen.

I hope your July is going as well as OU Softball commit Goose Hutchens’. In eight games against elite travel ball competition at the Colorado Fourth of July Tournament, she was.. 13-for-21 (.619 avg) 5 HR’s 12 RBI’s 7 walks But forget the numbers, let her swing do the talking.

I think we’re about to witness the most people we’ve ever seen inside Kimrey Family Stadium. You can’t even see the end of the line from the gate. And there’s still an hour until we start.

So many things I’m excited to see from OU Softball tonight, but the debut of Kendall Wells ranks very high. She hit seven HR’s seven fall games…as a freshman! On her power: “It is so rare.” - Tiare Jennings “Kendall Wells is going to be an absolute superstar.” - Patty Gasso

A rough draft of the greatest true freshman seasons in OU history: • Holieway • AD • Paris • Tiare • Trae • Alo • Chamberlain I missed a few, but the point is this: Will Kendall Wells’ season be in the same group? I think it has to be. And honestly, maybe Kai Minor, too.

Goose Hutchens announces she’s reclassifying and joining OU this fall. I can’t emphasize this enough, she’s ready. I’ve seen her play at the high school, travel ball and even international level with USA Softball. She’s a special talent and will contribute her freshman season

Saturday night in Neyland is the best road game atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. Absolutely unbelievable from start to finish. Tennessee fans were awesome, too. Huge fan of Knoxville.

OU Softball commit Goose Hutchens just had a big week with USA Softball. She attended the Top Performers Camp in OKC and played a DH on Wednesday with the USA U18 team. Goose was a combined 4-4 with a home run, triple and two singles, along with 3 RBI’s.

That’s an impressive season opening win for OU. Really impressive. Road game against possibly one of the three-best pitchers you’ll see all regular season. And they found a way. HUGE outing for Audrey Lowry. Big time stuff. And Kendall Wells is already THAT good.

I caught up with new OU signee Goose Hutchens. She may be listed as a catcher, but she sees herself as more of a utility. “Now I’m able to play so many more positions.”

The play I’ll remember most from last night’s National Championship Game? So many to choose from, but I’ll go with Dasan Harris throwing out a runner at third and saving a run. This was the moment where it really felt like, ok, this is OU’s night. It’s going to happen.

It’s incredible to look back on the offensive lineup of the 2022 OU Softball team. Has there been a greater one ever assembled in the sport? In 62 games: • 155 home runs • .371 team average • 579 runs • 1.207 team OPS • 60 stolen bases • 325 walks/HBP
