I downloaded this video in 2024 and kept it as a reminder that the average APC supporter bets against their own interest. I don't know if the TL recalls this child. This happened in Ebonyi state. This child had a foreign body in his airway and required a flexible bronchoscope to get it out. He was taken to government hospitals in Ebonyi state, and they could do nothing for him because they did not have a flexible bronchoscope. A flexible bronchoscope costs about $3800 for the reusables and about $200 for single use. This boy died because the government hospital in a state under APC rule did not have a flexible bronchoscope, just about a week after the governor spent about N500 million sponsoring hajj pilgrimage for Muslims in the state. But all of these are not the main reasons I downloaded and kept this video. I downloaded and kept it because this boy's father supported APC staunchly at the time of this incident (I can't tell if he still supports them) I kept it as a reminder of how every single APC supporter bets against their own interest and welfare. I have it in my cloud. I have it stored across different drives. I will never lose it because it serves me a very sad but necessary reminder

I doubt it's the same video that we both watched. Let's actually micro-analyse this since you wanna. Frame 1: 1) That girl was taking forward steps towards her camera when he reached out and nudged her. "Excuse me" would have been enough. Why did he have to nudge her? Also, watch his step count and the angle of his body to his hand, and you'd realise that he had enough space to pass in that very moment. 2) She said, "Can you imagine." I didn't hear the part of "who does he think he is"; but even if she did say that, since when did "who does he think he is" become a crime deserving of harassment? 3) Remember, by this man's own very account, he stated that he grabbed her hand when she refused to hand over her phone. If you're speaking of assault, then that's where the said assault started. He had absolutely no right to attempt to take her phone, NO MATTER WHAT. There are several legitimate avenues to address an errant behaviour from a student. He chose to go that route because he believed that as far as the school environment is concerned, he is the Lord of the Manor. 4) Watching the video in frame 2, you can clearly see the man dragging her by her cloth; and considering how low-cut her dress is, you can clearly see that her entire breast was completely exposed the way he held her. This video also clearly shows that she only held him back after he refused to let go of her. 5) Lastly, I put EVERY blame on this man because he had very many chances to de-escalate this situation as the elder there. While he was walking past that girl, for a split second, he looked into the camera. He was very aware that he was caught on video. He had no problems with it until he overheard the girl's snide comment. He could have kept moving. Returning there just because a (likely) 19 year old said a few words he didn't like was merely him insulting himself. Then, for those who have continued to vouch for the man being a "gentleman," let me just make this clear: no true gentleman would be found in such a situation. The problem with Nigerians is that because we've become so used to abnormalities, we don't know what is normal anymore. Put that man side by side with a true gentleman & you'll realise he's just a quiet rascal.

Meanwhile, the video evidence in the first frame shows that all she said was,"Can you imagine? What is this?" Video evidence in the second frame shows that the man was holding onto the neck of her dress and pulling it towards himself; a dress with a low neckline, which means that by pulling it away from her, he exposed her breasts to full public view. Anyone with a height higher than that neckline would have a clear view of that girl's breasts. That same video evidence shows that all the girl did initially was try to get his hands off her dress, and only swung at him and pulled his own clothing when he refused to let go. Twist this issue all you like. It does not change the facts on video. You people expected the girl to cower and accept to be treated like an animal just because the man is an elder and a lecturer.

I love the points he made here. People don't realise just how much Peter Obi has done for Nigeria already, even before the election. By moving across three parties in the past one year, he has, by his own footprints and popularity, given birth to three other recognisable parties, and thereby making sure that it will be almost impossible for Nigeria to fall into a one party state, at least for the next two years. He has left strong appendages in every party he has crisscrossed in that time; strong party builders: Alex Otti, Nenadi Usman, and now Enyinnaya Abaribe in the Labour Party, GRV and the Atiku camp in the ADC, and all the people who have so far joined him in the NDC. Even the PRP creeping into our consciousness was a result of Datti, whose last known strong political associate was Peter Obi, name-dropping the party in his last two interviews. This alone is already a big win for our democracy.
