They even claimed to be “sons of God” who had the power to punish him. How is such behaviour acceptable on Indian Railways? A group of participants from Assam, who were returning from a national camp in Kurukshetra, faced a troubling experience on the Tripura Sundari Express. Their journey turned chaotic when unreserved passengers forcefully occupied seats that were already reserved for them. Despite holding confirmed tickets, the group claimed that hundreds of ticketless travelers pushed into their coach, making it impossible for them to sit or even move freely. They contacted railway authorities as well as the helpline number, but received no assistance or response. The situation worsened when a young woman from the group became unwell because of the extreme crowding and suffocating conditions inside the compartment. Shockingly, no railway official or on-board staff stepped in to help. Feeling helpless, the group recorded a video from inside the train, highlighting what they described as negligence by the railway authorities and urging immediate action. The video has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism regarding railway safety and passenger management.
