Will Angus, who appears in “Artificial” as Anthropic co-founder Dario Amodei, says Andrew Garfield “nailed” his performance as Sam Altman: “He has this vocal fry in between lines, kind of when he’s thinking, that he really nailed. The walk, the head movements. It was spooky.”

“Wildwood” director Travis Knight calls AI an “amazing piece of technology” but says, “I’m not embracing it at all.” “I see technology as a tool, and we use technology at Laika. A pencil is technology, a paintbrush is technology, a 3D printer is technology. Technology is useful when you put it in the hands of people, when you put it in the hands of artists who can amplify their voice." “Technology is not useful when it takes the place of the artist, and that’s the concern with generative AI,” he continued. “It’s an amazing piece of technology, but the concern is that when it supplants the artist, then we have an issue because the computer cannot speak about humanity at all. It doesn’t know what it feels like.”

Chris Pratt says Imax drone cameras were used for his new Vatican documentary with Pope Leo, which explores the tomb of St. Peter. He says the experience helped redefine his Catholic faith: “It was really profound to be encountering the remains of one of Jesus’ apostles. There was prophetic word, he said that the church will be built upon that rock. And Simon Peter is the rock. To see the church some 2,000 years later, and see the prophecy of his words came true, it just was really meaningful to me.”

Ryan Reynolds says ’80s nostalgia “paves over all the trauma” of the “tumultuous” decade: “The 80s was a brutal, brutal time for people. It was a fucking mess and people forget that. It was a tremendous strife. Socio political tensions everywhere. We were still pretty fresh off a Cuban missile crisis, which was only 15-20 years before. It’s a tumultuous period, but you look back at it now and you’re like, ‘Oh, yeah. ‘Top Gun.’ Cocaine!’ Like, ‘No!’ It was really scary.” In Apple TV’s “Mayday,” Reynolds stars as a U.S. Navy pilot who builds an unlikely friendship with an eccentric ex-KGB agent (Kenneth Branagh) obsessed with ’80s American culture.

“Smallville” star Michael Rosenbaum says he refused to return after Season 7 when the studio asked him to do three more seasons without a pay raise: “It was like, ‘Hey, we want you to sign a three-year deal and give you no increase in pay.’ Anybody who works in any business, it's like, ‘I'm an integral part of this success, don't I need to get rewarded?’ I said, ‘Yeah, no thanks.’ And that was it.” Watch the full video:

#Obsession star Inde Navarrette says she’s met with #XMen director Jake Schreier and would love to play Mystique in the MCU: “I thought what Jake brought to ‘Thunderbolts’ was what I used to love about Marvel. It was character-driven, and the whole time I just couldn’t stop gushing about how much I appreciated what he did with Marvel.” Watch the full video:

![Paul Rudd no longer brings his smartphone with him to set: “I don’t go to sets with a phone. I haven’t done that for a while now. It’s important to put it down. Anytime. They’re horrible things. I’m addicted to it like everybody else. They’re facilitating our own destruction.” Rudd revealed that director Tom McCarthy enforced a “very strict no phones policy” on the set of their new movie “A Statement,” which he found brought his castmates closer together and made filming feel more like a play. “The world has changed since cell phones have existed. We don’t look at each other or talk to each other quite the same way,” Rudd said. “Now, [with the phone ban], we were forced to really spend time with each other and talk. Working on a movie set in 1980, we’re dressed in a certain kind of way. It felt like, ‘Oh, yeah. I remember this. This feels like it used to feel when people sat around and spoke to one another.’”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2106532564970152446/amplify_video_thumb/2106532455251374080/img/A0CSLfxWlVWWbCoq.jpg)

Nicolas Cage says he’s “probably not” working with Amazon again after refusing to sign an AI waiver for #SpiderNoir: “Amazon is a very AI-friendly company, to the tune of $50 billion invested in OpenAI,” Cage said at #NYCC. “I am not an AI-friendly actor, so it’s like, connect those dots! I’m not a member of their club. I didn’t sign the waiver to let him use AI on ‘Spider Noir.’ I’m probably not going to be working with that studio again, but that’s okay.”
