🚨 Dani Alves on facing Cristiano Ronaldo in Madrid: 🗣️ “No one in Barcelona ever liked him, both the club, players management. It wasn’t because of Messi or the rivalry, it was because of the damage he could do in just one moment.” 🗣️ “The worst feeling back then was losing the ball and seeing Real Madrid break with Cristiano involved. Once he had space, you knew you were in trouble. He was too direct, too powerful and too ruthless. You could defend perfectly for eighty minutes and he’d still find a way to punish you.” 🗣️ “It’s difficult to admit but there were moments when you looked at him and thought, ‘Imagine having that kind of beast on your side.’ Every team wants a striker with that mentality, that aggression and that hunger to decide games.” 🗣️ “Rivalries make you dislike players, but they also make you respect them. Cristiano was one of those players you hated facing, because you knew one mistake was enough for him to change the entire game.”

🚨🗣️ Rodri on Real Madrid’s unforgettable 2022 Champions League comeback: 🗣️ “I remember We were 2–0 up on aggregate that night with around ten minutes left, and the strange thing was that nobody at Real Madrid looked worried. They kept pressing, they kept believing, they were even smiling. It honestly felt like they knew something we didn’t.” 🗣️ “I looked at the lads and saying, ‘Why do they still look so calm?’ Most teams would panic in that situation, but they never did. They kept playing as if the game was exactly where they wanted it.” 🗣️ “Then the first goal came. You tell yourself, ‘Stay calm, we’re still ahead.’ But when the second one went in almost immediately after, you could feel the entire stadium change. The momentum completely disappeared from us.” 🗣️ “Once it went to extra time, at that point nothing was going our way anymore, we were already beaten mentally and psychologically. 🗣️ “People talk about tactics and quality, but that night was won with mentality. Real Madrid never accepted defeat for a single second, it’s something you can’t see with every club.”
