⚽️⏳️: Young #Arsenal supporters from the Thomas Fairchild school in Hoxton (North East London) during the 1980s give their accounts as to why they support the gunners. Including clips from the victory parade in Islington by the Arsenal team the day after the Gunners lifted the FA Cup at Wembley.

Londoners give their account on the lonely, stale existence within the ugly, concrete high rises in South London during the 1970s. Communities, built around streets that had been there for decades were turned into characterless, concrete towers. No more front or back garden conversations, no more street unity. Just a cold world created by cold hands. GLCLCC made every excuse not to save the original housing, stating that they were slums. This isn't entirely true and in fact people were far more connected and happier when they had a home, and community of their own. Of course, they made the best of it. But little did they know at the time that it wasn't in good faith but the beginning of a deliberate project based on cultural and social decline. Today people have become so used to having a lack of community and overall happiness that tower blocks of all kinds are seen as normal. But, those who first used them saw just how unnatural they were. Agenda driven, insincere people pretend that this was a good thing when they know full well it wasn't. Not only did it change the shape and feel of London, but it changed the people within it. They could have rebuilt the houses if they didn't want to repair them. But that wouldn't have separated people, or prepared them for what the institutions had in store. ⏳️

Brace yourself for this one. In the final, heartbreaking scene of All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989), Burt Reynolds (voice of Charlie) reportedly required over 60 takes to finish the scene because the child actor Judith Barsi (Anne-Marie) was murdered by her father before the film was completed. Burt broke down every time but felt the need to finish due to its symbolism to her spirit and her legacy. I can't even finish watching it, let alone have had to perform the scene. This would be a hard scene for any dog lover even without the added tragedy. With it, it's a life changing watch. I dred to think how many takes I'd have needed. If I had, as I imagine it did to Burt, it would haunt me until the end of my days. 💔🌹#RIP

The History and Fate of the Briggens House Estate For centuries, Briggens house, on the Briggens Estate, has stood as a prime example of high culture and architectural splendour. Its history is as extensive as it is fascinating, which is why some of it is covered in this video. On a (very) warm, sunny day, we took a trip to this beautiful spot that sits in the picturesque countryside between #Essex and #Hertfordshire, not only talk about what it's seen and been through, but its potential fate. Of course, as mentioned in the video, this certainly isn't a representation of the average Briton, but, it is an example of how much more beautiful things used to be in the world of the wealthy compared to the penthouse mentality of today. Who knows, maybe a force of magic will prevent the house and the grounds from becoming a new-build housing estate. Up and down our Isles, a wave of modernistic uniformity is changing Britain as a whole. Our old buildings suffer, or disappear, whilst the new one's do not take on the image of Britain we all know and love. To join me on one of my many Tours - Pub/History tours, visit Pub and History Walking Tours and the Tour website To see this video in 4k, visit my You Tube. I am also involved in a docuseries named Britain's Lost and Living pubs that is on both X and You Tube. In this scene from Clarksons Farm, Jeremy Clarkson discusses a point I've made many times concerning the loneliness and isolation brought about by the corporatisation and homogenisation of rural areas and, importantly, the death of the pubs that bring people together. This year, I hope to visit Clarksons Farm and Pub in the beautiful cotswolds in order to pay my respects. Britain's Lost & Living Pubs Pub and History Walking Tours

Sid James singing the musical number "Bermondsey" in the 1965 British film Three Hats for Lisa. It's hard to imagine the old singing culture of London ever making a return. My grandmother would often sing, but I had little idea that I was hearing the dying of an age.

The Modernistic Renovation of London Liverpool Street Station 🏙 The time is finally upon us that the Liverpool Street station I've loved for so long is about to see changes that myself and others see as incredibly controversial. A great effort has been made by various people to try and stop this from happening. Though my fears are that the renovations will still go ahead, if people did manage to stop it, I would not feel that I've wasted my time in making this video because it's only by alerting the public that we can help to prevent, or simply raise awareness on such issues. Just imagine all the plans we don't hear about until it's already too late. If you would like others to know about this, or feel the same regret as I do, please share this post in order to make others aware. Thank you all for your support, and for loving the places that mean the world to me. 🤝
