🇺🇸🇲🇽 Unusual NOTAMs issued for El Paso, Texas and portions of the Mexico–New Mexico border region. The FAA has designated the airspace as "national defense airspace", prohibiting all non-military aircraft from operating there. These SECURITY-related restrictions (listed under ZAB facility NOTAMs 6/2233 for El Paso, TX and 6/2234 for Santa Teresa, NM) went into effect yesterday — Tuesday, February 10, 2026 (local time) — and remain in place through Friday, February 20, 2026 (local time). That leaves approximately 9 days of active restrictions as of now. The NOTAMs were released extremely recently (appearing as "New" in FAA Graphic TFR listings on February 11), with very short notice — just hours before activation for many operators.

🇺🇸 Officer Connor Grubb of the Blendon Township Police Department (Ohio), has been found NOT GUILTY in the shooting of Ta’Kiya Young Officer Grubb and a fellow officer from the Blendon Township force had approached Young's car on August 24th of 2023, about a report she was suspected of stealing alcohol from a grocery store in suburban Columbus She partially lowered her window, and the other officer ordered her out. Instead, she rolled her car forward toward Grubb, who fired a single bullet through her windshield into her chest (fatally wounding her)
