PRESIDENT TRUMP CALLED JENSEN HUANG'S CELL PHONE WHILE HE WAS ON STAGE AT THE ALL-IN SUMMIT TODAY. JENSEN PICKED UP AND PUT HIM ON SPEAKER 🇺🇸 Two days after Sam Altman and Dario Amodei called for AI development to slow down, Trump told a few thousand people what he thinks of that. "The robots are not going to be taking over the world. The AI will not be taking over the rest of the world. The whole thing is a hoax." "We have to do things prudently, but that doesn't mean we're going to stop an industry." "Whoever wins AI wins. That's how big it is. It's bigger than the internet." On data centers, he said they're "the oil of the next 20, 25 years." He also said $20 trillion of investment is coming into the country this year and told Jensen he "can develop the most complex computer chip in the world that nobody can copy for 10 years, but he can't figure out how to put me on speaker."

WARREN BUFFETT ON WHY INTEREST RATES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER IN INVESTING The 10-year Treasury hit 5% today for only the second time since 2007. When Buffett said this in 2017, it was at 2.15%, and he explained why that made stocks look cheap. "If you look at the 10-year government at 2.15, that means you're paying 45 times earnings when you buy that bond. And the earnings aren't going to go up." "Interest rates are to stock prices what gravity is to matter. If interest rates were nothing and they're going to be nothing forever, you'd be buying stuff that would yield you one percent or two percent." "If interest rates on the short rate are 21%, like they were in 1982 under Volcker, you can look at a stock at six times earnings and say, well, that really isn't that attractive. That's what drives valuations." At 5%, the 10-year is 20 times earnings. The gravity just got a lot stronger.

JEFF BEZOS SAYS AI IS GOING TO CREATE A LABOR SHORTAGE "I know there's a lot of concern that many people have, including many smart people, that AI is going to make humans redundant and so on. I totally disagree with this point of view." He says AI will make it possible for people to identify more problems, and that we have an endless set of things to invent. "Today, we are limited not by our imaginations, but by what we can actually do." Everyone in the room, he said, has had an idea for a business or a product they wished they could build. It stayed in their head because it was too hard and it wasn't worth it. "If we can accelerate the dream build loop, all of the ideas will then become possible. And then we end up being limited not by our capabilities, but by our imaginations."

JENSEN HUANG SAYS AMERICA WILL BUILD THE FULL AI STACK AND EVERY OTHER COUNTRY SHOULD TAKE THE PIECES IT NEEDS He described AI as the new industrial revolution, with the technology becoming economic infrastructure rather than a product. Huang said Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was supportive of building in the United States and wants to see other countries adopt the technology and build their own AI economies on top of it. On India, he called it one of the world's leading IT industries and said this is the start of a new IT platform. His advice to the country was that everyone is moving fast, so it has to move faster

STANLEY DRUCKENMILLER: "I SHORTED $200 MILLION OF INTERNET STOCKS IN MARCH 1999. IN THREE WEEKS I COVERED THEM AT A $600 MILLION LOSS." "I was short 12 stocks. They all went bankrupt. Every one of them." He was right on every single pick. Still lost $600M. "If you're dead wrong on a long, you can lose 100%. If you're dead wrong on a short, you can lose 10 times your money." "Frankly, I'm not sure I've ever made money in shorts. I've never had a down year, but I'm not sure I've made money in shorts. I like it. It's fun. But you can get your head handed to you." "Don't try that at home."

JENSEN HUANG WAS ASKED WHO IS USING AI BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD His answer wasn't OpenAI. It wasn't Google. It wasn't even Nvidia itself. Here's what he said on CNBC: "Nobody uses AI better than Meta." He explained that Meta went from a classical recommender system running on CPUs to a generative AI agentic system making recommendations across the entire platform. "Everything from the way social media works and the way they recommend ads and help advertisers create content has fundamentally been changed. And their earnings show it." "That's the reason why they're investing so hard. They see a much larger future potential for it." Mark Zuckerberg $META is spending $70B+ on AI this year.

AMD CEO LISA SU HAS SAID THE WORLD NEEDS ANOTHER 100X MORE COMPUTE IN THE NEXT 4-5 YEARS She even coined a unit for where that leads: the yottaflop. That is 10 to the 24th power in flops, a one followed by 24 zeros, roughly 100 times more compute than exists today. Her answer to what all of it is for: today's models are already strong, but "it can get so much better." The use case she calls closest to home is writing software, where AI tools are already lifting developer productivity. "AI is really gonna be everywhere and it's really for everyone." Where she thinks we are: "still in the very early innings of really unlocking the power of AI."

JEFF BEZOS SAYS: "WE DON'T HAVE A REVENUE PROBLEM IN THIS COUNTRY. WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM." "A nurse in Queens who makes $75,000 a year pays more than $12,000 a year in taxes." His suggestion: "How about we start by having the nurse in Queens not pay taxes at all? We shouldn't be asking this nurse in Queens to send money to Washington. They should be sending her an apology." The math behind it: "The bottom half of income earners in this country pay only 3% of the taxes." He added the US already has "the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% of taxpayers pay 40% of all the tax revenue."

WARREN BUFFETT ON THE FED'S 2% INFLATION TARGET 🇺🇸: "I WISH THEY HAD A ZERO INFLATION TARGET" His problem with 2%: it "compounds pretty dramatically over time." At that pace, prices double roughly every 35 years. And it sets a quiet floor under everyone's money. In his words, anyone earning less than 2% on their cash is "going backwards." Worse, you may owe tax on the 2% that just kept you even. "I don't like that particular goal."

TODAY IS TAX DAY. HERE'S WHAT WARREN BUFFETT SAID ABOUT PAYING TAXES IN 2024 "Berkshire sent in a check for over $5 billion to the U.S. federal government last year." "If 800 other companies had done the same thing, no other person in the United States would have had to pay a dime of federal taxes. No income taxes. No Social Security taxes. No estate taxes. Nothing." "It doesn't bother me in the least to write that check. And I would really hope, with all that America has done for all of you, it shouldn't bother you that we do it."

PAUL TUDOR JONES WENT ON LIVE TV ON BLACK MONDAY AND MADE THREE CALLS IN FIVE MINUTES October 19, 1987. The Dow had just fallen 22.6% in a single session and the NYSE tape was running more than two hours behind. Jones said the selling climax finished that day, that the market would open weak the next morning but close up, and that a primary bear market was starting that would last a long time. He was right on the first two and wrong on the third. Stocks bottomed within weeks and the bull market ran another twelve years. His advice to viewers was to preserve capital, cut speculative positions, and not buy the dip. Asked whether he was trading it, he said his fund had traded it heavily for two weeks and that this was the only comment he would make.

HOWARD MARKS ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE LESSON OF SELLING TOO EARLY: "Amazon was $90 in 1999. When the tech bubble burst, it went to $6. It was down 93%." "What if you were smart enough to buy it at $6? Would you have held to $12? What about $60? You've made 10 times your money, would you sell?" "What about when it got to $600? You made 100 times your money. Most people would sell." "At the time I wrote it, Amazon was $3,300. If you sold at $600, you left 85% of the money on the table." "Buffett says he made all his money on 12 ideas. Charlie Munger said he made all his money on 4. The big mistake is getting off too soon."
