Here at WWT Raceway, we can’t control everything, but we try to be ready to react to anything. In anticipation of possible precipitation, we’ve pulled in additional support to limit our delay time. Yes - we have the Air Tundra system which is basically a squeegee made of air. It pushes out compressed air at 568 miles per hour and can dry the surface area of a football field in less than 20 seconds! In addition, we have jet dryers from Total Venue Concepts and the NHRA, buffalo blowers, broom tractors and a fleet of vacuum trucks. In just 10 years the technology for track drying has sped up the process by 2.5 times! WWT Raceway EVP and GM Chris Blair put together this quick video to show you the track drying toys.
