This is absolutely insane American went to buy Walgreens brand blood glucose test strips. She takes the box up to the register to buy it The price should be $30 but it rings up as $75. The issue turned out to be that the people stocking the shelves put the ones that were supposed to be behind the pharmacy counter on the regular shelves But they are the exact same test strips, same box, same amount of strips, just a different barcode but everything else is the same The box behind the pharmacy counter sells for $75 for people with insurance. The one on the same is $30 So if you have insurance and pay at the pharmacy the price is $45 more What are we even doing anymore… our healthcare system is such an absolute scam We need healthcare reform immediately

I literally can’t believe what I just watched Michigan is ranked 44th in 4th grade reading nationally and only 38% of 3rd graders are proficient in reading So lawmakers passed a new law. Now in schools students will be taught to sound out words…. This had been moved away from and instead students were being told to just use a different word if they didn’t know how to pronounce the word they were trying to read I can’t believe this is how low we’ve sunk as a country…… Teacher in Michigan explains how they have been teaching. “So if the sentence was, "We are meeting after school," and a student got to the word ‘meeting’ and they didn't know how to read the word ‘meeting,’ I might have said, "Use the words that you do know.” Whoever has done this to our education system needs to be locked up. We are in big trouble This is a high school teacher, she explains that her 15 year old students are completely lost. She says they don’t even know how to use a highlighter She’s teaching American history and the principals of our country being established during our founding. She put the information into very easy to follow sections, because the students would understand if if she didn’t She gave each a highlighter and said let’s highlight the important parts.
