Mayor Frey finds his third term sweet spot: "We can't be messing with Cuba, bathhouses, and drug paraphernalia!"

Josh Martin is live at Warehouse District Live. He filed this report: "The last time a city funded event failed this hard there were like five Star Tribune stories, a department head got fired, and there was an investigation by the City Auditor’s Office." Oh! Ohh! Oh my!

We debated Hennepin Ave bus lane vs parking lane, but what we got was a lane for swerving around the left turning car.

Cornhole concerns at the zoning committee: "The cornhole game leads to a continuous thunking noise as the beanbag hits the target. When one goes in the hole there's a loud cry of success."

First time riding the E Line to the Dinkytown end of the route today. Such a great transit experience. Even if you're not a transit person, give it a try. 25 minutes from Uptown to Dinkytown. Buses come so frequently that you don't have to check a schedule.

O'Hara praising resilience of his officers for enduring a 2025 budget increase of $12 million to go along with historic pay raises: "They've become experts on doing more with less. So I know we will get through this."

This is a nice county project for Lake St in Uptown (even if it stops a block short of connecting to the city's new bike route on Hennepin), but it makes me wonder why we have to wait a decade or more for the city to bring curb protection to 26th and 28th streets.

The city telling a homeless camp that sleeping outside in the winter isn't safe, right before depriving them of the shelter they've made for themselves, is a real "stop hitting yourself" moment.
