#Syria 🇸🇾 was one of the few countries that supported #Eritrea’s armed struggle for #independence during the 1970s and 1980s. Their backing, which included military training, resources, and political support, played a significant role in bolstering the Eritrean Liberation Front (ELF) against #Ethiopian forces. This solidarity was part of Syria’s broader commitment to supporting liberation movements in the region, and it was deeply appreciated by those fighting for Eritrea’s independence. SYRIA, FEBRUARY 2, 1975: The video shows the Eritrean Liberation Front’s announcement of a full-scale attack on major eritrean cities, made by ELF spokesman Mr. Omer Alim. #Eritrea 🇪🇷
