I tried something completely different with Kling 4.0 this time. Instead of chasing photorealism, I wanted to see how it would handle an oil-painting aesthetic once the scene started moving. What surprised me is how well the artistic look holds together. The texture and painterly feeling stay present through the motion instead of slowly turning back into a typical AI-video look. For me, that’s just as interesting as realism. Kling 4.0 isn’t only getting better at making things look real — it’s getting better at preserving a creative direction while bringing it to life. Here’s how it turned out 👇

I wanted to see how well Kling 4.0 could handle a cinematic Wuxian action sequence, especially with all the fast movements and camera changes involved. What impressed me most was how naturally the action flowed. The character movements felt coordinated, the camera followed the action smoothly, and the overall scene had that cinematic martial arts film feeling I was going for. This is the kind of control I’ve been wanting from AI video generation. Instead of just producing beautiful frames, Kling AI 4.0 is making complex action storytelling feel much more achievable. Here’s how it turned out 👇

It Doesn’t Have to Be! Rain, streetlights, and the goodbye neither of them wanted to say. Sometimes everything hangs on one answer. Made with Dreamina Seedance 2.0. PROMPT: Woman = a young East Asian woman around 25, soft elegant features, shoulder-length dark hair, a gentle emotional face, wearing a cozy beige coat and a scarf. Tender and heartfelt. Appearance only. Man = a young East Asian man around 27, soft handsome features, neat dark hair, wearing a dark wool coat. Quietly emotional, restrained. Appearance only. Sreet = a quiet city street at night in light rain, rendered photorealistically — glistening wet pavement, warm glowing streetlights and shop signs, soft bokeh of city lights, a moody romantic atmosphere, umbrellas and reflections. Warm-and-cool cinematic palette. Environment only. SCENE: a tender, emotional romantic short scene. On a rainy night street, a young woman and man stand facing each other under the glow of streetlights, sharing a bittersweet almost-goodbye moment with a small dialogue exchange. Soft, heartfelt, cinematic emotion. TECHNICAL: 16:9, soft cinematic romantic style, warm-and-cool color grade, shallow depth of field with dreamy bokeh, gentle slow camera movement, rain and glistening reflections, soft romantic lighting, photorealistic, emotional cinematic quality. CUTS: CUT 1 (0-5s): Close on the woman under a streetlight in the light rain, eyes glistening with emotion, looking up at the man. Softly, she says: "So this is really goodbye?" Tender and vulnerable. CUT 2 (5-10s): Cut to the man, rain in his hair, holding back emotion as he looks at her. Quietly, he answers: "It doesn't have to be." A held, charged pause between them. CUT 3 (10-15s): A wider two-shot — they stand close under the glowing streetlights and rain, the moment suspended, she gives a small tearful smile as he gently reaches for her hand. Warm bittersweet final beat, city bokeh behind them. RULES: References are appearance only, do not recreate. Keep both characters consistent across every cut. Clear natural lip-sync on the two dialogue lines. Soft, emotional, romantic mood throughout. Sound design: gentle rain, a soft emotional piano score, quiet ambient city sounds, the two lines spoken tenderly. Warm bittersweet final frame, cinematic and clean.
