$TESTED: Windows 11's upcoming "Low Latency Profile" mode brings genuine performance improvements to the OS, speeding up flyout and app launches significantly. We've benchmarked opening some apps on video with the Low Latency Profile enabled and disabled, and you can see differences in how quickly things appear. For some things, it's a fraction of a second faster, for others, it's a significant increase in speed. In our testing, this new Low Latency Profile is a major improvement in overall responsiveness when it comes to opening apps and flyouts. Our tests were conducted on a clean install of the latest Windows 11 preview build on the same hardware.$

GameSir's Swift Drive squeezes a tiny direct drive motor and a wheel into something no bigger than a regular controller. It's destined for PC, Xbox (and PS5), can be used wirelessly, and is at a price point below even a budget racing wheel setup. It's a way off yet, but first impressions are 🔥 FULL THOUGHTS:

Is this laptop's quirky touchpad just a gimmick, or are these hidden buttons actually useful? 🤔 Multimedia controls (optionally) appear when I start streaming content, and video meeting functions give me marginally faster control over my microphone and webcam. Either way, I wouldn't usually expect an Acer laptop to impress me, but I found myself using these quite often over the past week. There's even a unique little aspect to the infamous Copilot key on this Swift Go 16 AI. Full review on Windows Central soon 💻

Razer dropped a $499 keyboard that sold out in minutes. The Huntsman Signature Edition is a 3-pound, CNC-milled aluminum monster with 50 hours of hand-polishing and elite-tuned acoustics. Is it completely unnecessary? Yes. Is it an absolute masterpiece? Watch 👇(1/2)

Surface Laptop Ultra is the closest Microsoft has ever come to building a no‑compromise performance machine, and the details are interesting to say the least. A full NVIDIA RTX Spark platform, up to 128GB of unified memory, a 15‑inch mini‑LED display hitting 2,000 nits, native Arm gaming progress, and a cooling system built for sustained heavy workloads. What Microsoft and NVIDIA are doing together here raises real questions about where Windows on Arm goes next and how this shifts expectations for pro‑grade laptops. #Surface (1/2)

Windows 11 recently locked me out of Notepad thanks to a server-side bug with Microsoft Account verifications — is a 'Thin Client' era about to ruin my 27 blissful years of using PCs, now that they're so reliant on the Internet?
