Yesterday, in London, this delightful old chap was arrested for shouting “I support Palestine Action.” There’s something comical about it, really. I don’t know how the police can do it without laughing at the absurdity of it. Starmer’s mistake is now Andy Burnham’s problem.

I've just watched several speeches from today's “Rally Against Antisemitism.” Predictably, the real agenda for many of the speakers and the crowd wasn't antisemitism at all — it was anti-Muslim and anti-Iran sentiment. It's clearly a right-wing, pro-Israel rally.

Today I should just be sad for the innocent victims stabbed in Golders Green by a lone man with serious mental health problems. But instead, I’m also angry that some people are trying to pin the blame on peace-loving people who marched for a ceasefire in Gaza.

I think silent protest is often the most powerful: Respect to this young woman doing a very emotional silent protest at yesterday’s Palestine Action protest in London. I hope she’s ok, she’s clearly deeply moved by the suffering of the people in Gaza. 😢
