During my time on the NSC, there were 2 calls Trump held with foreign leaders that particularly disturbed me. One of course was with President Zelenskyy. This call with MBS was the second one that really bothered me. The American people should know what was said on that call.

I’ve heard firsthand how Donald Trump speaks to authoritarian leaders behind closed doors. I’ve seen how he bends American values to protect himself, not our country. That pattern is repeating itself right now. Trump is protecting MBS instead of standing up for America.

Look, unilaterally cutting off federal grants and funding is likely unlawful. I’ve talked to a lot of people today who would like their voices heard on this. I tried calling the White House, but their public comment line is closed. They don’t want to hear from you, but I do.

Several months ago, I asked Pete Hegseth if he would apologize to the mother of one of the F-18 pilots that was in the skies over Yemen when he leaked sensitive information that endangered the mission. He refused to. There needs to be accountability for his reckless actions.
