Baby theft is real. A joint operation by EOCO & GMDC in 2021 uncovered a syndicate selling babies for GH¢30,000 & GH¢28,000. Those implicated included Dr. Quashie of 37 Military (owner of Susan Clinic), Dr. Lartey of Ridge, Social workers from Tema General Hospital among others.

YEA is currently facing numerous challenges, the priority should be rolling up sleeves and getting to work, engaging stakeholders, and addressing the issues at hand —These are the videos Ghanaians want to see, NOT a public officer going to work with a guard holding his bag. As a newly appointed appointee, every action taken must be weighed carefully, particularly in terms of public perception. Actions like this raise concerns about extravagance and professionalism and although seemingly minor, can contribute to making the government appear disconnected and out of touch.
