🚨 UPDATE: HOLY SH*T, LISTEN TO THIS DATA FROM THE NTSB. 30 seconds before the end of the cockpit voice recording: “the nose landing gear and the right main landing gear touched down, and ground speed was 158 knots.” 15 seconds before the end of the recording: “Brakes were released, at a ground speed of 120 knots, throttles increased in values consistent with go-around thrust.” Amazon Prime Air Flight 7598 , a Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by 21 Air , crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday after overrunning the runway. 🚨 UPDATE: HERE IS EVERYTHING WE KNOW SO FAR ABOUT THE AMAZON PRIME AIR 767 THAT RAN OFF THE RUNWAY AT MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. The Boeing 767-300 cargo plane, operated by 21 Air for Amazon Prime Air, was flying Cargo South 7598 / N1997A from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami. The aircraft overran Runway 30 during landing, crossed the airport perimeter and ended up near NW 67th Avenue/perimeter road. The aircraft appears to have come to rest right outside a Tesla charging/parking area near the airport. Massive plumes of black smoke were seen coming from the aircraft, and a fire was reported. All runways and taxiways were temporarily closed and a ground stop was issued at MIA. Video of the landing appears to show the Boeing 767 beginning to lean to one side before veering off the runway. WHAT CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO LEAN IS NOT YET KNOWN. A possible landing gear failure has been suggested, but that has NOT been confirmed. 🎧 AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AUDIO FROM THE INCIDENT HAS ALSO EMERGED. UNCONFIRMED REPORTS ARE CURRENTLY CIRCULATING OF 6 FATALITIES, ALONG WITH INJURIES. THE DEATH TOLL HAS NOT BEEN OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED. This is still developing. FULL GROUND STOP IS STILL IN EFFECT.
