The notoriously Billy Boys chant, synonymous with the head of the KKK in Scotland, as it was his gang that chanted it in the 1920s and 30s by the gang. Still heard by Hearts and Rangers fans to this day and nobody cares to mention it, address it or eradicate it.

Ranger v Livingston. Livingston penalty shout for handball. No penalty given. Referee didn’t call it. John Beaton on VAR didn’t call the ref to look.

Hearts penalty shout v Rangers. Clear push in the back by the Rangers defender. Not referred to video review. No penalty awarded.

Goldson handball penalty shout etc etc etc for Dundee United.

Also, even though we know they are going heavy on semantics in an attempt to bend reality. The defender puts hands on the Celtic forward outside the box (arms bent no motion) the actual ‘Push’ (extending arms with force on to the Celtic forward) is inside the box.

There is a wider argument to be had here about ex-Refs, particularly Scottish refs, giving their opinions on these incidents, and how serious we should take them. More PR fluff, but why?

The Falkirk player pushes Maeda on to the goal- line which stops the ball going over the line. Any idea why this is given as an offside and not a penalty, especially as they have to look over the entire incident as it’s one phase of play?

As it happens, I actually think a keeper in his own area does deserve a little bit of extra protection because he is diving on the ground. But there are limits to the nonsense I can listen to. Hart needed that kind of protection, and Fletcher got a yellow. Butland is different.

This is what done Donald Findlay in 1999 when he was caught chanting The Billy Boys. Findlay was the lawyer. McInnes was also at this joining in, as reported at the time. The lady speaking was the girlfriend of the young man whose life was taken.

Last month Hearts v Motherwell game just before the split. 87th minute 1-1 and Hearts are awarded a contentious penalty. Following game Hearts v Hibs, Hibs are winning and end up getting two players sent off. Hearts score the winner in the 86th minute. Disgusting?

I see Mike McCurry has been wheeled out to say that Johnstone of Celtic should have received a red card. Weird that he thought this Roofe ‘tackle’ only deserved a yellow.

Trusty yellow upgraded to a straight red by VAR had far less contact with the player than Tavernier has with the Kilmarnock player. Trusty gets red, Tavernier gets nothing.
