Link: The article explores Karl Haushofer's geopolitical theories, rooted in what would influence Eurasianism, and their profound impact on Nazi ideology. Haushofer, a German general and geopolitician, advocated for a "pan-continent" alliance between Germany and Russia against Anglo-American sea powers, influencing Rudolf Hess and Adolf Hitler via Mein Kampf’s Lebensraum concepts. It argues Hitler adopted what would be Eurasianist elements despite later anti-Soviet actions. Haushofer argued that Eurasia is the heartland of world power. I conclude that the Nazis selectively used Eurasianism for expansionist aims.
