Let me tell you what is truly heartbreaking: The IRGC has slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent Iranians, our brothers, sisters, children, and not a single one of those soccer players opened their mouths. The only one who dared speak up for the people, Sardar Azmoun, got banned from the World Cup on some bullsh*t excuse about a photo with a UAE Sheikh. The rest of the team? They didn’t even flinch. Not one word. Worse, some of them actively stood with the regime and the Supreme Leader, the same butcher who drowned Iran's streets in blood. When asked about the oppression back home, Ramin Rezaeian coldly shrugged it off as “an internal matter.” Don’t give me that “they were forced” bullsh*t. Silence under threat? Maybe. But no one forces you to publicly suck up to the regime like these clowns did. No one puts a gun to your head and makes you sing praises to a mass murderer. Today, I attended my first pro-Israel demonstration in Chicago. Having participated in a pro-Palestine march years ago in the same city, I want to share my observation of the atmosphere and messages conveyed. The pro-Israel demonstration was notably peaceful, with no chants advocating for the harm or destruction of any group, even Hamas. The focus was on a desire to live and the right to exist, followed by music and dance. Speakers expressed deep sorrow and urgency about bringing hostages home, while a small pro-Palestine group was chanting "From the river to the sea." right next to them. This differed greatly from my experience at the pro-Palestine demonstration, which centered on destroying Israel and Zionism, celebrating martyrdom, and included anti-Jewish rhetoric. You could feel the anger and rage in the air. I empathize deeply with Palestinian children who wish only for peace. So just a few minutes ago while I was sitting on Campus with my classmates and minding my own business, two students came up to us wearing Kaffieh and handing out two flyers one of them was saying “Boycott Starbucks”. I asked: do you want to boycott Starbucks because they support #Israel? They said yes. I said ” Well I support Israel too” and as I expected they started being aggressive calling me uneducated and stupid. Soon enough a group of them surrounded us and we had to leave to avoid a potential fight. I recorded some of the conversations I had with them. I was in no way aggressive and even told them you can have your opinion and I have mine but they just kept going. #HamasISIS
