On February 24th, we hosted our very first in-person surgical skills workshop for U.W.I.N.- Underrepresented Women in Neurosurgery!! U.W.I.N. With over 60 URiM women in attendance, our participants were exposed to a wide range of neurosurgical procedures and the most advanced technologies in the field 🔥 We were joined by our esteemed neurosurgeon, Dr. Venita Simpson Venita Simpson, MD, FAANS, who gave a powerful key note speech 🔥 This event wouldn’t have been possible without my mentors Bernard Bendok, MD, Fred Meyer, and Mayo Clinic Neuro to whom I am so grateful for their support!
