No one breaking is kind of crazy. Especially considering everyone broke in Granada that night.

Honestly the most impressive part is Cecily’s aim, like dang, over the shoulder wine throw and hits Colin perfectly

Colin Jost as Pete Hegseth will always be a classic impression. He nails the frat bro personality.

Pete Davidson playing Rami Malek while Rami Malek plays Pete Davidson sitting right next to each other on SNL is peak casting. The moment Pete in that bleach blonde hoodie looks over and completely freaks out because Rami’s bug-eyed stare looks like “a Victorian child trapped in his eyes” broke me. Rami didn’t even break character once, just kept deadpan staring into his soul. Who had the better impression here, Pete capturing Rami’s intense quiet stare, or Rami completely nailing Pete’s unhinged slouching chaos?

SNL really put people on a game show and made them explain why they liked an Instagram photo… and every man eventually confessed he was hoping to sleep with the woman. 😭 Jake Gyllenhaal’s character even has a girlfriend sitting right there while he explains his entire five-step plan for turning a double tap into sex. Chris Redd tries “culture” as an excuse for liking Megan Thee Stallion’s art, and the buzzer basically says, “be serious.” the most painful part is that nobody’s shocked by the answers. we all know the game. we just don’t want our own search history called as a witness.

I love how enthusiastic Bill’s character was even when given negative feedback

the funniest game show contestant is emma stone trying desperately NOT to win, while everyone else is walking away with three cars. she keeps trying to give the right answers just to get rid of michael longfellow’s childhood tortoise, and somehow the game keeps handing it back to her. imagine losing a game show by being too polite to let a man’s pet go homeless. meanwhile, the other contestants are winning cars like they’re picking up groceries. this is the first game show where the grand prize is a responsibility nobody wants, and the only way to lose is to stop helping

Charlie Day’s detective keeps insisting he doesn’t own a TV and has never heard of Seinfeld, baseball, or World War II, but then he bursts through the door doing Kramer and starts talking about a soup Nazi. Jason Sudeikis is just standing there losing his mind while this guy claims “bottom of the ninth” and “grand slam” is cop talk. The selective amnesia is so committed that when George Costanza finally shows up with a knife, the detective still acts like none of it is familiar, until the CSI: Miami sunglasses and music kick in and he admits he watches that one on iTunes. The bit works because Day never winks; he just keeps escalating the ignorance while the Seinfeld apartment and the references keep betraying him. Sudeikis’s pure frustration is the real engine.

The groom having a homemade "butt stuff" coupon tucked inside his tuxedo breast pocket on his wedding day is absolute peak comedy. Shane Gillis crashing his ex's wedding just to cash in an unredeemed Valentine's Day coupon for an "open-eyes handjob" already had me dying, especially when he defended it like a legally binding promissory note. Watching the entire wedding party, from the groom down to the pastor, pull out their own unfulfilled coupons and immediately turn on the bride was pure gold. If you're going to be too cheap to buy real gifts, you better at least put an expiration date on those homemade coupons before they come back to haunt you at the altar.

The kids immediately hearing “what comes first in the science room” and going “the guy always comes first / the girl never comes” is still one of the cleanest unhinged escalations SNL’s pulled off. Driver’s already barely holding it together after “it will get vaccinated” and “provide a sense of atmosphere,” then they drag the innuendo back in and you can see him decide in real time that he’s done teaching. The commitment to the slow-burn rage is what makes these actually work

george washington really crossed a river, fought the british, and then decided the biggest threat to america was the english language. “we’ll call it a dozen, but only for 12. hamburger has no ham. buffalo wings have no buffalo. and nobody is allowed to ask what’s in a hot dog.” bro founded a country and immediately made a language-learning app necessary.

The couple isn’t scared of the pumpkin guy. They’re just deeply, personally offended that he exists and that the ride went all-in on him for 73 floors. He’s not a ghost, not a killer, not from a commercial, not from anything. He’s “his own thing,” the skeletons are “part of it,” and every time they try to figure out the deal he just does the little dance and hits them with “any questions?” like he’s wrapping a PowerPoint. The actual scare at the end almost feels secondary to the real horror of having to sit there while your brain tries to solve a riddle with no solution. Still the cleanest “why is this funny” sketch SNL has ever done. The longer you stare at it the dumber and better it gets

When John says “who’s this guy?” And it cuts to Pete cracking, so hilarious
