Bola Tinubu lied to the US Court. Apparently, his lawyer had argued that Tinubu was not involved in politics as of 1993 and had never held elected office. This argument was made before the judge hearing the matter between Aaron Greenspan and the Joint Task Force that indicted Tinubu, which led to the civil forfeiture of US$450,000. Aaron Greenspan had filed a FOI request seeking the release of the files relating to that case, but the President’s lawyers argued against the request, citing privacy concerns. —Aaron Greenspan himself made this known in his interview with Laolu Akande

I have always believed Dr. Hamzat to be a smart man. But unfortunately, 20 years in an APC government comes with a lot of baggage. Twenty years of ineptitude in some of the most incompetent aspects of governance in Lagos State, whether it is the sewage system or the waste management system. Unfortunately, he is not a fresh face. His so called experience is experience in failure. I do not envy that type of experience, and I certainly do not celebrate it. GRV

Several hours before the Osun election, I heard Dr. Dipo speak about the chances of his candidate, and I almost bought into the idea that this was the end for Governor Adeleke. The brother literally said he was as sure as the Second Coming of Christ that Ambo would win. My heart first cut. 😂 I even heard he didn’t win his polling unit. Don’t take my word for it, but does this sound like someone who didn’t have his polling unit covered before coming online to disturb us? If you like, let these guys gaslight you in 2027.

Looks like the embarrassing loss in Osun State has given my APC friends the much needed clarity that Bola Tinubu has no pathway to re election. After much reflection, APC members and supporters have gathered to lament this embarrassing loss and have concluded that this is a pointer to 2027. According to them, Bola Tinubu should look elsewhere and depend on other regions for votes, rather than the Southwest.
