It's important to condemn violence, goonism and the unfortunate events witnessed in Homa Bay yesterday. However, it is wrong to balkanize and profile an entire tribe for what happened. What Wanga and Kaluma did was wrong and I empathize with this woman's tears. Linda Mwananchi would have been allowed to come to Homa Bay, jump on top of cars, dance, make noise, take videos and return safely. Property would not have been destroyed, lives would have been saved, and nobody injured. However, Patel's massage of coming to colonize Homa Bay was also out of order. Colonization will always be met by resistance, in whichever part of the world you go to. Lastly, it is important to note that both Linda Mwananchi team and the ODM team in Homa Bay had goons, well funded and given crude weapons. One set of goons simply overpowered the other and that's why you see only one group crying all over the place. We must change how we do our politics Jothurwa.
