Tesla really goes out of their way to prevent anyone from hearing this. I think it sounds pretty cool! What do you think? This isn’t even a fancy model. Mid tier model Y, with a 4sec 0-60. I was doing some work on the car. Didn’t finish putting everything back, but had to drive it. Was surprised by how much more I could hear the motor noise. The camera is pointed at the missing rear seats, and the rear wheel motor is right under it.

I gambled a year’s salary and lost. This is what building a hardware product can look like, especially if it pushes limits. The OMG Cable has evolved a lot since this story, but it wouldn’t be what it is today without this gamble AND failure. The factory tooling I have built today is something I designed over the years to prevent and identify so many possible failures.

If you’re going to have a physical product oriented business, definitely plan on having kids like 10 years beforehand so they’ll be old enough to help 😂 As great as this upgrade looks, the feeder (top half) needs constant babysitting. I now have my kids feeding envelopes into the labeler (bottom half) instead. The 2 of them actually fight over who gets to do this part of the work too.

You cant fix Hollywood with tariffs. It’s like watching kids who inherited a golden goose. It’s dying because they couldn’t do the easiest part: keep it fed. They see other people feeding their goose & decide the correct action is to poison those geese instead of feed their own.

And with a little work on the power steering, this car now has “self driving” performance quite a bit better than Tesla’s Autopilot. It’s similar to FSD from 2020. Never have to recharge it either 😎 This was a fun little project. I’m looking forward to using it on road trips.

I caught this drone just outside San Francisco. This is a few miles from a NASA research center with ties to Google & Lockheed Martin. I can’t believe we waste money on the F35 when this is what is in the skies now.

I managed to catch the last show of the nine inch nails tour. It was amazing. We brought the kids with. First row seats! It was their first live show ever besides orchestras. It melted their faces off. 😂 We brought them to Disney the next day, since we were in LA. Tons of NIN fans were there. My older kid said the NIN show was, easily, the better experience. 😎 Here’s Vessel:
