I never imagined leaving Gaza or reuniting with my childhood friend and journalism partner, Abubaker Abed . From Gaza to Dublin, we capture new moments together, continuing our mission with words, strength, and journalism, striving for an end to the war on Gaza.

These are my neighbors. They have just received word of the martyrdom of three young men from their family, and in an instant, panic and collapse consumed them. I feel as though I might burst into tears beside them; this scene is unbearable. It is the daily reality for thousands of Palestinian families in Gaza, from the first day of the genocide until this very moment. Listen closely, this is what unfolds the moment any family receives such news.

My latest story is about a young girl named Hanaa, who loves raising pets yet struggles with a chronic chest condition. Her life is further burdened by the absence of basic hygiene, a consequence of the tent she calls home and the dire health conditions in Gaza, where responses to cases like Hanaa’s remain painfully inadequate.

While we were trying to update you with a report from the ground at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dier al-Balah, an ambulance arrived loaded with casualites following an Israeli strike on central Gaza's Al-Maghazi. Two killed and several others wounded, including a child.

📍 Deir al-Balah, Gaza Three missiles. One mosque. Countless shattered graves. The living mourn their dead—again. Under rubble, even the silence is desecrated. “Even the dead cannot rest in Gaza.” "كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ" "Everyone upon the earth will perish." , Surah Ar-Rahman (55:26)

Unimaginable Chaos at UNRWA Warehouse in Gaza: Hunger Turns Deadly Today, in the heart of Deir al-Balah, Gaza, unimaginable scenes unfolded as thousands of starving civilians surged into a UNRWA warehouse reportedly holding more than 40,000 bags of flour and tons of children’s nutritional supplements. As famine deepens across Gaza, the warehouse became a desperate destination. Civilians—barefoot children, the elderly—rushed toward the hidden aid. One young man told me he had walked over 5 kilometers on foot, simply saying: “I am starving.” Inside, the scene was sheer chaos: people pushing, shouting, grabbing whatever they could. Hunger had shattered any semblance of order; survival was the only instinct. Some criminal groups reportedly took advantage of the disorder to seize bags of flour from others. According to a doctor at Al-Aqsa Hospital, five people were confirmed dead and at least 80 others injured, with 10 in critical condition. The doctor described the scene as catastrophic, noting that some victims were crushed or suffocated under the weight of flour sacks. I documented this under extremely dangerous conditions—gunfire rang out behind and in front of me, and some individuals verbally assaulted me, trying to prevent me from filming. I narrowly escaped. But this is the cost of journalism in Gaza: risking everything to show the world the truth. One live photo I captured shows a young, barefoot man carrying a sack of flour under the blazing sun and relentless bombardment—a single frame that speaks volumes of unendurable pain. This is not just a humanitarian crisis—it is the collapse of human endurance. By Abdulruhman Ismail Deir al-Balah – Gaza | May 28, 2025

This is my final story about little Nawal , a blind girl from Gaza who lost her white cane and special typewriter when her home was destroyed. These were not just tools, but her means of seeing the world and expressing herself. Like many children in Gaza, Nawal lives through hardship , but for those with disabilities, the struggle is deeper: with no access to assistive devices, learning support, or basic care, even survival becomes a fight.

This is Walid’s story , a moment I witnessed and captured myself. Walid and his family survive on just one meal a day , usually just a plate of lentil soup, sometimes without even bread. No breakfast. No dinner. Just enough to get by. Day after day, this quiet hunger wore down his little body... until he collapsed. He was diagnosed with jaundice caused by severe malnutrition. He’s now on IV fluids and slowly recovering. What happened to Walid is heartbreaking , but it’s not rare. Thousands of children in Gaza are living the same harsh reality: little food, no clean water, no medical care, and no safety.

Zain, a 10-year-old Palestinian boy, has been forced to grow up overnight. In the aftermath of the Israeli bombing of the Al-Awqaf displacement center ,a shelter once home to hundreds of families ,Zain now carries the weight of both mother and father. The attack claimed 16 lives, including 3 men, 5 women, and 7 children, and left dozens more wounded. Inside the reception hall of the Baptist Hospital, Zain crouches beside his injured younger brother, gently wiping the blood and tears from his face. His sister sobs beside them, and Zain, with a trembling voice far too steady for his age, whispers to her that their mother will come soon. But she will not. With no adult left to hold them, Zain has become their only shield in a world crumbling around them.
