MP Ali Moosa mentioned when MDP left office in November 2023 Maldives had a credit rating (by Fitch Ratings) of CCC, but the rating was actually B-. Fitch downgraded our credit rating to CCC in July 2024 months into muizzu presidency. A month later fitch downgraded our credit rating again, to CC. Also note that CC is not an upgrade from CCC, it’s the other way around. 🤦♂️ We really need to elect better.
