Check out the moment Jordan Hall and I got absolutely NUCLEAR size hail stones smashing right into our windshield! These hailstones were easily grapefruits and I believe the huge hit was closing in on DVD size hail 2 miles West of Canyon, TX with in car shots rolling!

I grew up in the Midwest for over 20 years and I can honestly say I've never seen a scene quite like this in Michigan City, Indiana. I've seen foliage at higher elevation but never have I seen peak foliage which such a high impacting Lake Effect snow event. Truly otherworldly. #INwx

Thornton just escaped an absolute tragedy thanks for firefighters. This seriously could have been the Marshall fire 2.0 had the winds been stronger. Unreal stop despite losing a lot of vehicles and a couple small structures at what appears to be a salvage yard. Amazing stop before the school. #COwx #ThortonFire #wildfire #fireweather

Today was one of the most intense storms I've chased this year and honestly one of the scariest in my career. 80+ mph winds feeding into a beastly supercell completely swallowing my vehicle stranding me right in my tracks before I slowly creeped out enough to bust back out ahead of it and getting rolled with 70+ mph winds again in Grinnell, KS. Also documented a brief tornado in Atwood, KS before this all unfolded. Very chaotic storm! #KSwx

Been hard at work covering this outbreak of tornadoes from yesterday and finally getting some time to post. This morning I interviewed Tony Matulis who survived a powerful tornado just South Gosport, Indiana last night as his house was completely destroyed around him. He tells me his brother, who lives in a camper out back came running in and pounding on the door screaming there was a tornado coming. They had just enough time to get into the bath tub and cover themselves before the tornado hit and destroyed both the RV and home. But, there was some heart warming news as this morning they found out their chicken Wall-E survived the storm! #INwx AccuWeather
