Los Angeles police say they are addressing what they describe as a health and safety hazard on city streets following an operation at a homeless encampment near downtown L.A. Authorities said items at the site were blocking the sidewalk and that the encampment was crawling with rats.

“It fails” or “it blows up.” Evacuation orders were reissued Friday for thousands of residents and schools were closed in Garden Grove due to continued concerns about a toxic chemical leaking from a large storage tank at an aerospace facility. "There are literally two options left remaining: one, the tank fails and spills a total of about six-to-seven thousand gallons of very bad chemicals into the parking lot in that area -- or two, the tank goes into a thermal runaway and blows up, affecting the tanks around them that have chemicals in them as well."

Adam Sandler was spotted grabbing a bite at an In-N-Out fast food chain in Cabazon as other diners were surprised to see the star. Restaurant-goer Odeira Villeda filmed a video of Sandler ordering and picking up his food as people looked on. “We were waiting for our order when Adam Sandler casually appeared in line and ordered his food. Many people noticed and were amazed by his presence,” Villeda said. “The In-N-Out worker took his food to his table, which they usually don’t do.”
