This is the Syria that no one talks about. Syrian Christians are preparing more than 20,000 Suhoor meals to be distributed across 40 mosques in Damascus and its countryside to worshippers observing Laylat al-Qadr through overnight prayer. This initiative is common in Syria, where Christians and Muslims stand side by side. Foreign media does not cover these initiatives or these social customs in Syria. Both March 15 and 18 carry profound meanings for the Syrian people in commemoration of reclaiming their freedom against the dictator Assad, his regime, and his criminal allies.
