Last night, I found myself under the stars at Jabal Hafeet in Al Ain. Hurley and sliotar in hand,. Sanding over 1,200 metres above sea level, surrounded by desert silence, I couldn’t help but think of the hills and mountains back home in Ireland. ☘️

I came across an incredible video recently, a footage of 🇮🇪 in the 1920s. Families gathered outside their homes, neighbours chatting, children laughing, people dancing. Simple moments that carried a deep sense of community & joy. What struck me most was how familiar it all felt.

In Turkey, strolling around the markets of Istanbul with my hurl. This lad asked me what I was carrying. I explained hurling to him. He really liked it and called his friend from the other shop to come along and have a look at it! Peoples reaction walking by are priceless!
