While listening to a Let's talk money podcast by Monika Halan 🇮🇳, a user's complicated debt problem query came up. I think this is not to be brushed aside as just bad credit behavior - this raises concerns on the quality of underwriting, systems and checks. The broad media headline is that Indian Banking NPAs are at historic lows, but has the credit cycle gone spurious in some pockets? How was this Gold loan sanctioned where the end use was to service her Home loan emis and investments? While Gold prices softening, investors should be cautious on this pocket I believe.

Mr. G Maran of Unifi makes an important point here - Nifty will likely underperform midcap and select select sectors growth. 2/3rd of Indian market cap is in Nifty 50 companies, most of which are at a valuation that cannot justify their growth. RT if you find it relevant.
