The moment they see Portuguese citizens wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh, the occupation soldier in them wakes up. These war criminals should be treated as such wherever they go. Israeli soldiers think they can commit genocide in Gaza and then go relax on Brazilian beaches. Now some of them even believe they can silence Brazilians showing solidarity with the victims of their crimes. In this video, one of them is arrested after attacking a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Brazil. A week ago a Brazilian prosecutor issued 3 probe orders after complaints that the #HindRajabFoundation filed in Brazil against three suspeced war criminals. After our complaints, Israel smuggled one of them out and two are on the run. The time of their impunity is running out.

Mijn speech bi J'accuse in Gent Vandaag : Gisteren ontving ik beelden uit Zuid-Libanon. Een Israëlisch vliegtuig bombardeert vier burgers. Onder hen een klein meisje. Twee hulpverleners rennen vanuit een nabijgelegen ziekenhuis om te helpen. Ook zij worden gebombardeerd. Minuten later wordt de ambulance die hen probeert te redden eveneens gebombardeerd. Het resultaat: tien doden. Vier burgers en zes hulpverleners. Toen ik die beelden zag, dacht ik onmiddellijk aan Hind Rajab. Aan een kind omsingeld door tanks. Een kind dat over haar eigen dood getuigde. Aan redding die zelf een doelwit werd. Aan hulpverleners die wisten dat ze naar hun dood reden. Dit zijn geen afzonderlijke tragedies. Het zijn uitdrukkingen van dezelfde logica. Dezelfde doctrine. Dezelfde boodschap. Een genocide betekent het vernietigen van het vermogen om te leven. En dat begint altijd bij het vernietigen van het vermogen om nog als mens gezien te worden. Dat is al lang gebeurd in Palestina en in Libanon. Met het uitvinden van het woord “terrorisme” en het plakken ervan op de voorhoofden van mensen die nee hebben gezegd tegen landroof, kolonisering, etnische zuivering en genocide. Tegen het vernietigen van huizen en levens. Mensen die terug protesteren, terugvechten. Mensen die zeggen: Rot op met jouw kant van het licht. Op terroristenlijsten belanden dit soort mensen. Daarom worden hun landen vernietigd. Daarom wordt niet alleen het kind geviseerd, maar ook de ambulance die naar het kind rijdt, de arts die het probeert te redden, de journalist die getuigt — iedereen die weigert onze dood als normaal te beschouwen. Deze genocide is bedoeld als het laatste hoofdstuk van een verhaal. Geschreven in Palestijns bloed. Libanees bloed. Iraaks bloed. Syrisch bloed. Jemenitisch bloed. Iraans bloed. Een verhaal dat niet alleen in Tel Aviv wordt verteld, maar ook hier. Misschien minder virulent dan Netanyahu en minder openlijk dan Ben Gvir. Maar onze politici vertellen hetzelfde verhaal. Zelfs wanneer ze genuanceerd lijken te zijn. Niets is extremer dan nuance in tijden van genocide. En toch is Europa extreem genuanceerd. Want Israël is niet buiten Europa ontstaan. Israël draagt het DNA van het Europese kolonialisme in zich. Een kind gevormd door Europees geweld, dat het geweld dat het internaliseerde heeft omgezet in suprematie, en die suprematie vandaag omzet in genocide. Maar luister goed: Noem ons terroristen, extremisten, islamisten, communisten, en alle andere denkbare “-isten”: wij gaan niet zomaar verdwijnen in pijn en stilte. En zij — de genocidaires en hun helpers — zullen hun leven niet zomaar kunnen hervatten alsof onze doden nooit hebben bestaan. Wij kennen hun namen. Hun gezichten. Hun eenheden. Hun misdaden. En wij zullen hen vinden. Op festivals terwijl zij dansen. Op stranden terwijl zij proberen te vergeten. Aan grenzen. Op luchthavens. Overal waar zij dachten opnieuw anoniem te kunnen worden. Wij zullen hen aanklagen. Wij zullen hen vervolgen. Wij zullen hun straffeloosheid langzaam veranderen in angst. Niet omdat wij wraak willen. Maar omdat gerechtigheid de enige manier is om de wereld opnieuw te genezen. En uiteindelijk zal gerechtigheid niet alleen onze menselijkheid teruggeven. Zij zal ook hun menselijkheid teruggeven. Want zij hebben die verloren terwijl zij dachten die van ons te vernietigen.

🚨🚨 The Belgian Minister of Justice, Annelies Verlinden (Annelies Verlinden), has dismissed the Israeli Hasbara report defaming the #HindRajabFoundation after the Belgian State Security examined the report and determined that its content is unfounded. The report, submitted to the Minister by Sam Van Rooy, an MP for the far-right Vlaams Belang party and an outspoken supporter of Israel, was based entirely on unfounded allegations and fabrications. Van Rooy presented the document during a parliamentary question, asking the Minister whether she would consider banning the Hind Rajab Foundation. The Minister’s dismissal of this report is a clear confirmation: the document is nothing but defamation and slander aimed at undermining the Foundation’s work in pursuing justice and accountability for war crimes snd genocide. It is troubling, however, that such baseless material was even considered and forwarded to the State Security services. Let it be clear: Those who fight for human rights and justice are not a threat to society. It is those who defend genocide and war crimes and seek to shield perpetrators from accountability who should be the subject of investigation. #HindRajabFoundation #JusticeForGaza

It is always sad to see a human being die, even when it is an occupying soldier who is a legitimate target under international law. However, after seeing the IDF, systematically, bomb ambulances, journalists, hospitals, schools, children, women, and civilians, seeing the targets of the Lebanese resistance being exclusively military is a reminder that fighting with honor is possible, and that committing war crimes is a choice.
