Are some AI researchers starting to lose their minds over their own creation? The more I hear Jacob Coxon explain AI extinction, the less convincing it gets. His scenario: AI copies itself 10,000 times. Blackmails humans. Buys its own compute. Takes over infrastructure. Runs bio labs. Designs viruses. And somehow every human, government and defensive AI just watches it happen. At this point they are not describing intelligence. They are describing God with an API. Yes, AI will make hacking and bio threats more dangerous. Build serious safeguards. But they keep imagining smarter AI while completely ignoring smarter humans using even smarter AI to fight back. If a rogue AI launches 10,000 agents, why exactly can’t we launch 1 million agents against it? Humans have always imagined worst case scenarios. That instinct helped keep us alive and build safer technology. But fear can turn into fantasy too. I see massively more upside from AI than this constant extinction narrative.

Jensen’s AI safety rule: treat it like an omelet. If it’s not ready, don’t serve it. His point is pretty simple: • go as fast as you can • keep testing contained • don’t release models until they’re ready • use rigorous engineering instead of panic As he puts it: “That’s engineering, good old fashioned engineering.” Honestly, the omelet analogy is funny, but the principle makes sense. Nobody wants half cooked AI either.

Soham Parekh gave a podcast interview after going viral. He admitted working 3–4 jobs at once since 2022, said it wasn’t a scam, blamed financial stress, and claimed he wrote all the code himself. Honestly… he should just sell a course or build a startup at this point...
