I have a new insight to this scene that kind of shook me - The LA moment of “last and final tour” has historically been perceived as humorous however when you connect the dots of Michael’s history of trauma it’s abundantly clear the stage is the only safe space for Michael to deliver the message - I hadn’t considered this perspective. I thought about this through the lens of a someone learning about Michael for the first time & from the eyes of a lifelong fan - I was devastated to realize tucked into his natural ability with humor was a core foundation of fear that explains his need of a mediator/safe avenue - to resolve difficult situations This said.
