Under a blazing Angolan sun and 30°C/86°F heat, about 60,000 joyful faithful packed the esplanade in Saurimo to attend Mass with Pope Leo XIV — singing, dancing, and welcoming him with huge smiles despite the temperature. There, the Pope warned against turning God into a mere “good luck charm,” reminding everyone that Jesus seeks hearts that love him, not crowds looking only for miracles on demand.
