Despite being founded more than a decade after others in the industry, we've moved at a pace that is unmatched. The latest example of this being that the FAA has now accepted 100% of our Means of Compliance, making us the first eVTOL company to achieve this milestone and marking an important advancement in our Type Certification program. Here’s a quick recap of the rest of the updates we shared on our earnings call in case you missed it.

Over the past few months, our Midnight program has consistently delivered strong results. We're now routinely flying longer, faster & higher as we expand the aircraft’s operational envelope. Recent flights have exceeded 55 miles, more than 30 minutes of flight time, altitudes up to our 10,000-foot service ceiling, and speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour. These missions are providing valuable certification data, while closely mirroring the majority of mission profiles we expect in early urban deployment environments. Our next flight test phase with Midnight will be piloted VTOL, including full transition flights with our type certification intent four-blade aft propellers. Unlike the CTOL envelope that we are now close to completing testing on, the VTOL and transition flight regimes are not new for Midnight, as we have previously completed an extensive flight test campaign with Midnight without a pilot onboard. Our progression from non-piloted VTOL to piloted CTOL to piloted VTOL & CTOL campaigns is optimized for safety and disciplined execution that builds our readiness for commercial operations. The momentum continues to grow, and the team continues to deliver.

Aviation touches roughly 11% of U.S. GDP in some format, but with today’s air traffic control limitations, it’s also a cap on growth. AI can change that, not by replacing pilots or controllers, but by empowering them with smarter tools that open the skies to many more aircraft. That’s why you’re seeing President Donald J. Trump and his administration focus so heavily on modernizing ATC and accelerating AAM technologies like eVTOL aircraft. There are huge economic incentives for the US to get this stuff right.

Just hopped off with Tim Stenovec & Carol Massar on Bloomberg. Lots of acronyms flying around with EIPP etc but the basic way to think about it is this is the industry’s Waymo moment. No one had any idea what those cars were when they arrived in cities, but they rolled out methodically and showed everyone they were safe/quiet/convenient/etc. Now they’re just a part of normal life. Air taxi flights will begin via eIPP later this year in a similar way (just a few, no passengers). Good chance to bring the public and cities along for the journey and build the muscle needed to operate at scale.

Two years ago at the Paris Airshow, we were sharing a vision. Today, we’re executing on it. From piloted flight tests, multiple full-scale aircraft built and flown and $1B+ in new funding to the roll out of planned air taxi networks and becoming the exclusive air taxi provider of the LA28 Olympics, we’ve made bold progress since we last visited Le Bourget. At this year’s Paris Air Show, leaders like U.S. Secretary of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and Acting FAA Administrator Chris Rocheleau highlighted what we’ve long believed: AAM is the future and it’s arriving fast - both in the U.S. and abroad. At the next Paris Air Show in 2027, we expect to be back with something even more powerful: a product in service, passengers in the air, and cities that are starting to move differently.

Here are my key filters when evaluating the near-term, commercial potential of an eVTOL: - Needs to be piloted - Needs to be able to handle VTOL & CTOL in ordinary day-to-day operations to maximize functional flexibility, efficiency and increase safety - Needs to be ~6,000 lbs to handle four passengers - Needs to use battery cells that have a proven safe architecture, demonstrated reliability, decades of volume manufacturing and are sourced from a trusted manufacturer Delivering an aircraft that hits on all of those is our core focus. With our prior Midnight aircraft we completed the full VTOL envelope. Now we're working through the CTOL envelope with the new aircraft to ensure Midnight can reliably, efficiently and safely operate in and out of both traditional runways and vertical take off and landing locations.
