Smart loophole? #Eagles had holder Braden Mann on the field as a 12th man for all but one of Jake Elliott's kickoffs last week. It's legal under the new kickoff rules, as long as the holder runs off the field after the kick. In this case, it wasn't because of wind. It was to hold the ball at an angle to aid Elliott's "dirty" kicks.

What is this "banana ball" Ben Johnson is talking about? Look at the angle Tory Taylor strikes this punt. It starts outside towards the sideline, but then comes all the way back inside the hashes. Hard to track, especially with this kind of hang time. Huge play.

From what I charted this AM, these are Tyson Bagent's numbers on attempted throws of 10+ air yards: 7/10, 146 yards, 1 INT This includes 3/3 on 3rd down for 70 yards and 4/7 for 66 yards when blitzed (w/ the INT).

The #Bears made a long snapper change to get their FG operation in order. And it might not be the only change. Here’s a much longer video than you need on this:

Sounds like Jaylon Johnson has not been around for the voluntary portion of #Bears OTAs. I asked Al Harris how Jaylon looks and this was the response:

Bears QB situation in a nutshell: Tyson Bagent sits in a tight pocket, drops his arm angle and unloads a tough 3rd & 5 throw that I don't think Justin Fields would have pulled the trigger on. Also, Fields probably bails to his left and dumps it off to Foreman (uncovered) for a big gain or runs it himself for a 52-yard touchdown.

The #Bears onside kick recovery against the #Packers was NOT an accident. Richard Hightower used a “bunch” formation with his cover guys. Good plan. Good kick. Little bit of luck. Bears ball.

Last play was certainly a bummer. Play came in late and Ben Johnson said they didn't get into the formation they wanted. 49ers only rushed two, but one still came free. (Also, you can clearly see the knee-to-quad Burden takes at the end)

A fun shift in #Bears training camp this week as the team will hold a walk-thru at Stevenson HS today before a physical SCRIMMAGE at Halas Hall tomorrow. Ben Johnson explained the reasoning on Hoge & Jahns:
