Call the Midwife 2012 ‧ Drama ‧ 15 seasons Call the Midwife is a heartfelt period drama set in London’s East End during the 1950s and beyond. The series follows a group of dedicated midwives and nuns working from Nonnatus House, a nursing convent that provides essential medical care to women, children, and families in one of the city's poorest communities. The story begins with young midwife Jenny Lee, who arrives at Nonnatus House expecting a conventional nursing assignment but soon discovers the challenges and rewards of serving a diverse and often struggling population.
