Shiyazh Tastohyinya Pete, an offensive tackle from the Navajo Nation, signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft. He is the first player from the Navajo Nation to sign with an NFL team. Pete played college football at New Mexico State and Kentucky. Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren congratulated him, saying Pete “represents more than football… and the pride of our people.”
