This tracking GPS device was found today in the car of journalist Vehbi Kajtazi, director of the Paparaci news portal. Kajtazi has been critical of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his Vetëvendosje! party for allegedly misusing the Kosovo Intelligence Agency to spy on reporters who are critical of the government. The tracking device was discovered when Kajtazi sent his vehicle for a regular service. The police are investigating the incident. While Kosovo’s media community and opposition parties have voiced their concerns, the government has yet to comment on the matter.
